Growing up in Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, Michael knows and understands this community very well. He obtained his dental degree from Griffith University & subsequently worked in several locations on the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
He is committed to keeping up with the latest in the dental field, regularly attending dental conferences and courses to up date his knowledge base & newest dental technology to provide the best care to our patients. While working full time at two different dental clinics, Michael has also obtained a Masters Degree in Implant Dentistry.
Michael’s passion is dentistry and he is devoted to achieving the best aesthetic and functional results.
He provides comprehensive dentistry, with a special interest in dental implants and aesthetic dentistry.

Michael understands the fear of coming to the dentist; hence he is committed to providing his patients with a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Michael is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys outdoor activities and playing a round of golf.

Our clinical and reception staff who work alongside Dr Michael Chang are welcoming, vibrant, empathetic and caring people who will always strive to accommodate your needs on your journey in creating a brighter smile.
We keep up to date with the latest in dental technology & utilise digital x-rays which emit less radiation than traditional x-ray machines. Another advantage of digital x-rays is that it appears on the monitor instantaneously allowing the dentists to discuss with you areas of particular concern.
Apart from the small digital x-ray at the dental chair, we also have a larger digital x-ray machine in a separate lead-lined room which enables us to take in-house orthopantomogram (OPGs) & Cone Beam Volumetric Tomography (CBVT). OPG & CBVT are necessary when more detail is required to assess the condition of your teeth. For example, CBVT provides a 3D x-ray image of your jaw which allows us to assess patient’s bone quality for implant placement. Traditionally, dentists would need to give you a radiology form & send you off to another place to have the imaging done. By having a machine in-house, we are able to save you time & money to make your visit as efficient & pleasant as possible.

With the combination of CEREC chair-side Milling & Grinding unit, we can now fabricate the crowns/veneers/bridges* instantly in house. This helps reduce treatment time and potentially allow restorations to be made in a single visit!
